Poor weather prevents 'Emmerdale' filming
Poor weather prevented the filming of the the birth of Viv Hope's twin babies on Emmerdale recently.

The birth was initially supposed to occur in a shepherd's shack on the Yorkshire Moors, but bad weather on the day resulted in the shack having to be rebuilt in a studio.

Tony Audenshaw, who plays Viv's husband on the show, told The Sun, "We tried filming the scene in the middle of the moors but the weather was just too bad.

"There was heavy raining and the wind was howling so much that you couldn't hear what anyone was saying. We couldn't have chosen a worse day for filming.

In addition to the specific circumstances of the birth, there has been much speculation over the names of the new-born twins.

Audenshaw said: "We're using four babies to play the twins...They're going to be called Heathcliffe and Cathy because of Wuthering Heights as they were born on the moors. But there is all sorts of speculation about their names and whether they're going to be called David and Victoria after the Beckhams, or even Emma and Dale!"

The birth will occur on tomorrow's episode of the soap.
