Coronation Street's Curly Watts is facing fresh heartbreak when his wife Emma has a fling with a work colleague, according to the Sunday People today.

In a new storyline airing next month, the house husband, played by Kevin Kennedy, will discover that his cop wife has copped off with someone else.

"Poor old Curly is devastated when he finds out," and insider told the newspaper. "Emma thinks he is unreasonable about her socialising to get ahead. She gets disenchanted with him and finds another man more interesting."

Culry is "on the edge of a complete breakdown" following the revelation, but eventually gets back with Emma. "He goes through hell but there is a happy ending," the source added.
