Corrie's Jack Duckworth off the booze

Bill Tarmey, who plays Coronation Street's Jack Duckworth is under instructions to avoid alcohol while he recovers from last month's heart bypass operation.
The operation was the second bypass for the 61 year old actor, and according to the Daily Star, Bill realises that he is lucky to have survived.
While Bill recovers at home in Ashton-Under-Lyne, a friend commented, "He is doing marvellously well - but he's the first to admit he wouldn't mind getting his lips around a pint again".
If the Corrie star's recovery goes as planned, Jack should be back on our screens again late this year.
