Peter and Shelley will have their Corrie relationship tested when Peter succumbs to the charms of floritst Lucy Jenkins, played by newcomer Katy Carmichael.
The pair are currently split after Peter accused Shelley of coming on to his best mate Ciaran. He has since realised the truth though, and will try to win Shelley back by proposing to her.
Their engagement may be put on the line, however, when Peter visits the florist's to buy Shelley a bouquet and meets Lucy.
Carmichael will begin filming early next weeks, appearing on screens at the end of September.
