Ender the road for Jamie Mitchell

Jamie Mitchell will be killed off in a car accident at Christmas, according to the News Of The World.

Mitchell, played by Jack Ryder, will be accidentally run over by new driver Martin Fowler (James Alexandrou). He later dies in hospital.

Ryder announced his departure from the soap in March this year, but it was agreed by the then executive producer John Yorke that the door would be left open for a possible future return. New boss Louise Berridge, responsible for dumping Mark and Lisa Fowler, has decided that a festive death would be more gripping, however.

"It seems that Louise wants him out of the show for some reason," a crew member told the newspaper. "Over Christmas Martin, who's just passed his driving test, will knock Jamie over. Sonia, his fiancée, will be at his bedside but he'll die from internal bleeding.

"A lot of the cast can't believe Louise's decision because Jack is well-liked. He thought it was all amicable but he's bewildered by the whole affair. It's complete madness because he's the one all the girls love and attracts a huge young following. Who's left who's sexy?"
