Writer of 'EastEnders' poison pen letters revealed

By
Steven Beale is to be revealed as the writer of Albert Square's mysterious poison pen letters, according to the Daily Star today.

Steven's stepmum Laura suspects that former hooker Janine is behind the letters, which are sent to many homes in the Square. After a heated confrontation in the Vic, Steven is unmasked as the author.

The schoolboy, played by Edward Savage, will then demand to spend time with his real father, Simon Wicks (Nick Berry).

"Regular viewers will know Steven is a deeply troubled boy," an insider told the newspaper. "But his unmasking as the posion pen author is going to shock everyone on the Square. The lad is almost inviting punishment. It's as if he wants Ian and Laura to wash their hands of him. Could Steven be a new Nick Cotton in the making?"
