Major street character to be axed

Emily Bishop is to fall victim to Corrie killer Richard Hillman, according to the News of the World today.
He will strike again at Christmas after plans to get his hands on Audrey's cash fail. He then turns his attentions on Emily, knowing that under a deal, he'll get her house if she dies.
A soap insider told the newspaper: "The exact details of how he kills her haven't been worked out yet."
Eileen Derbyshire, 72, who has played the character for 41 years, reportedly told Granada that she was struggling to keep up with the fast-paced filming schedule.
