The 48-year-old - most noted for his role as Joe Mangel in the Australian soap – will play Jonty, a suave, suited and booted Aussie character who's set to sweep Louise Appleton (Emily Symons) off her feet under her current fiancé Jamie Hope's (Alex Carter) nose.
While Louise and Jamie struggle to maintain their on-off engagement, Jonty arrives at the B&B, much to the shock of Louise. The villagers are stunned, however, when Jonty reveals his true identity and connection to Louise.
Speaking of his role, Little said: "I'm a big fan of Emmerdale and I'm looking forward to appearing in such an established show. My character is a true Aussie with some great lines. It's going to be a lot of fun."
Series producer Anita Turner added: "We're delighted that Mark was available to make this appearance. The path to true love has been anything but smooth for Louise and Jamie. Mark will bring some great comedy to this heartfelt episode."
Little is due to begin filming next week for his scenes, which are scheduled to air at the end of October.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Emily Symons would be taking a break from the show to move back to Australia 'for family reasons'.
