'Dales fans 'will see another side of Doyle'

Paul McEwan has revealed that Emmerdale fans will soon see another side to villainous copper Shane Doyle.
Doyle has been causing trouble for colleague Donna Windsor-Dingle since his arrival on the soap earlier this year, but McEwan said there is more to the character than meets the eye.
"I think what's great about what's coming up is, because of the quality of the writing, the viewers are going to see a lot more sides to Shane before it really gets dark," he said.
"There's a brief silver lining before the storm clouds gather. I think they will see in the next few weeks another side to him."
McEwan added that Shane returned to his old ways after Donna's refusal to allow him to make amends for his past behaviour.
"[He says:] If you won't accept my friendship, I will take it. If you don't want it from me I'm just going to force it on you, but you're still going to have it," he explained.
