Donohoe 'to cause a stir' in 'Emmerdale'

Amanda Donohoe has revealed that she expects her Emmerdale character to cause a stir.

The 46-year-old will play millionairess Amanda Wylde in the Yorkshire-based soap alongside screen husband Maxwell Caulfield.

She said she is happy to be returning to Britian for the role, telling the Daily Express: "It's perfect for me as it means that I can stay in the UK, which I really want to do.

"I am quite excited because they're writing this part for me, and I pretty much take over the village and cause a lot of trouble."

Donohoe was last seen on British screens in Bad Girls. She and Caulfield will first appear on Emmerdale on January 15.
