'Emmerdale' farmhouse for sale at £1m

The property, called Lindley House, is located in Otley near Leeds and has been owned by couple Helen and John Bradbury since 1997.
Helen revealed that fans would often show up at their front door on Emmerdale Farm location tours.
"It has stopped now because the ITV series has moved on," she said. "But it often felt as if we were in some kind of goldfish bowl when people drove up to our door.
"Only die-hard fans now remember this house was ever a part of the series. But last year was the 5,000th episode and we were asked if three of the original cast members could be filmed outside for a documentary.
"Sheila Mercier, who played Annie Sugden, opened our front door to Frazer Hines [Joe Sugden] and Frederick Pyne [Matt Skilbeck], but it got stuck. I thought, 'Oh no, now everyone knows about our sticky front door'."
The Bradburys admitted that they are selling the 3.5 acre property, used in the title sequence for the Yorkshire-based soap from 1972 to 1993, because their children are moving out.
"Now our children are older we don't need five bedrooms," said John. "We'd also like to be mortgage-free, so we're downsizing.
"We think prices will carry on going down so if we rent for a while, we should be able to pick up a bargain. It's not the best time to put our house on the market, but if we don't get the price we want we won't sell."
