Dales' Wylde children speculate about reveal

Emmerdale's Nathan and Maisie Wylde (Lyndon Ogbourne and Alice Coulthard) are living in ignorant bliss, completely unaware that they are illegitimate children to their bigamist 'father' Mark (Maxwell Caulfield).

However, the truth about their dad's past will inevitably be exposed and send shockwaves through Home Farm, but not before Nathan befriends his secret half-brother Ryan Lamb (James Sutton).

Ogbourne told DS at this year's Inside Soap Awards launch: "He becomes best friends with this guy who, to him, he doesn't know why he's becoming so close and yet the reveal... is that he's close in many more ways than they [Nathan and Maisie] can know."

Of the secret, he teased: "[Nathan]'s obviously going to be so troubled by everything that's revealed that I think he's going to become even more of a monster and become the devil incarnate."

Meanwhile, Coulthard hinted that her character Maisie could well take a keen interested in her half-brother without knowing their true relationship: "We'll have to wait and see what happens there but he's a good-looking boy and Maisie's got an eye for a good-looking boy, so who knows?"
