Sutton: 'I want Craig Gazey in Emmerdale'

Emmerdale star James Sutton has revealed that he wants Coronation Street's Craig Gazey to join the soap.

The 26-year-old actor, who plays Ryan Lamb in the ITV1 drama, admitted that he has appeared on stage with Gazey in the past and is now keen to work with him again.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Sutton announced: "I'd really like him on the show. We once did a play together called The Pitchfork Disney - it was basically the two of us on stage for an hour and a half.

"He was awesome and we worked well together. Maybe he could come into Emmerdale as one of the Dingles and become Ryan's good friend."

Gazey has played Weatherfield's Graeme Proctor since April 2008. In the coming months, a new romance storyline for the star's character will keep him busy on the Street.

Meanwhile, Sutton joined Emmerdale in March following a two-year stint on Channel 4's Hollyoaks.
