Faye Lamb (Kim Thomson) vets her son Ryan's (James Sutton) new girlfriend when Katie (Sammy Winward) turns up for tea.
Having heard a few stories about Katie from Bob (Tony Audenshaw) in The Woolpack, Faye begins to question Ryan about why Katie's nervous over their meal. Their discussion, however, is interrupted by Katie's arrival.
During the meal, Faye asks Katie numerous questions and before Ryan knows what's going on, Katie snaps and details various facts about her chequered past, before leaving.
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV1.
