Thomson teases over Dales murder twist

Show producers recently announced that bigamist Mark - played by Maxwell Caulfield - is to be killed off next week in an hour-long special. Viewers will not discover who the culprit is until the episode airs on January 14.
However, in an interview with DS, Thomson teased that Faye becomes one likely suspect after Mark's web of lies and deceit is revealed to all. In next week's episodes, the businessman's second wife Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) discovers that he has been planning to run away with Faye, causing harsh words to be exchanged in heated scenes.
Discussing how Faye's relationship with son Ryan (James Sutton) is affected by the revelations, Thomson explained: "It's in a very bad place. She's betrayed his trust and I think it'll take quite a lot for Ryan to forgive her. Faye's determined to win her son around, though - that's her priority. It'll certainly take some work."
Asked whether Faye would have the courage to kill Mark, she replied: "Because of the effect that the revelation and Mark has had on her son, it'd drive anyone to the fury that would make it possible."
Caulfield announced his decision to quit Emmerdale last November. He had been with the Yorkshire-based programme for a year.
