Carter films last scene as Dale's postie

Alex Carter has reportedly brought his four-year Emmerdale stint to an end.

The actor has filmed his final scenes as postman Jamie Hope for an episode that will air towards the end of May.

Carter, 27, announced that he was leaving the ITV programme in February to pursue other projects.

Sian Reese-Williams, who plays his screen girlfriend Gennie Walker, wrote on Twitter that she has been 'crying for weeks'. "So that's it then. He's done. Gutted. Wonderfully talented and a fabulous boy. We will miss him," she tweeted.
