Shaw: 'Fans tell me off over storyline'

Emmerdale star Suzanne Shaw has admitted that fans of the soap have been approaching her in the street to comment on the recent behaviour of her character Eve Jenson.

The actress's latest storyline has seen her alter ego start an affair with businessman Carl King (Tom Lister), who is already in a relationship with feisty Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).

Speaking to Digital Spy at the TV Choice Awards last night, Shaw revealed: "I absolutely love the Carl and Eve storyline. It's got a lot of people very angry, which really is cool! People in the street are telling me off for doing what I'm doing! But it's great. It's been such a great thing and it's going to get bigger and better towards Christmas, so I'm really excited for it."

Meanwhile, asked who the maneater could set her sights on next, she replied: "With Eve, it could be anybody - new or old! You just don't know!"
