Sammy Winward: 'Kiss scenes are weird'

Sammy Winward has admitted that she finds kissing her Emmerdale co-stars strange.

The actress, who plays Katie Sugden, told Reveal that she tries to laugh off the uncomfortable moments.

"I've been doing it for ages now but it's weird doing it with a mate," she said. "Imagine having to kiss one of your good friends over and over again - I just make light of it."

Katie will reportedly be briefly reunited with her estranged husband Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) in the
Yorkshire soap. However, Winward said that she is doubtful the situation can work out.

"I'd advise her to take things slowly," she said. "If you get back with an ex, it's often on dodgy ground. You never know, though, it could work!"
