'Emmerdale' Wylde climax peaks at 7.9m

Emmerdale secured a peak of 7.85m (35.9%) in the last 15 minutes of last night's hour-long special, according to overnight data.

Overall, the episode climaxing the Wylde-centred murder plot - which saw Natasha finally brought to justice - averaged 7.62m (35.3%) between 7pm and 8pm.

Waterloo Road's series six finale, which saw Karen Fisher's daughter Bex return from exile - pulled in 4.45m (18.9%). Earlier on BBC One, Doctors averaged 1.49m (19.5%).

Meanwhile, the third Hollyoaks Later slipped to a disappointing 309k (1.2%) in the 9pm hour. Prior to that, the main show put in 1.11m (5.6%) at 6.30pm, adding just 128k (0.5%) at 8.30pm.

Elsewhere, Neighbours logged figures of 731k (9.5%) and 1.45m (10%) at 1.45pm and 5.30pm, while Home and Away took 357k (4.9%) and 933k (5.2%) at 2.15pm and 5.30pm, then Fiver's first look grabbed 503k (2.5%).
