The actor recently had his contract extended, meaning that he will remain in the role of Aaron Livesy's love interest Jackson Walsh until at least the spring.
Speaking to Inside Soap about his future plans, Silcock explained: "I'd love to stay at Emmerdale, but only if the storyline made sense for Jackson. It's been my favourite place to work so far, but I wouldn't stay just for the money or to be on TV.
"I'd rather go out on an amazing story than just hang around in the village for no reason. I want my exit to be something people remember me for - instead of disappearing in the back of a taxi!"
The 21-year-old also said that he is grateful for his current plotline, which follows Jackson as he recovers from a dramatic accident which saw a train crash into his van.
Silcock commented: "When I heard the rumours of Jackson's car being hit by a train, I thought, 'Well that's me gone, but what a brilliant way to go - a big stunt!' Then our producer Gavin Blyth called me into his office and explained everything about this storyline. It's an amazing opportunity for me as an actor."
Next week, fans will see Jackson receive heartbreaking news after he has more surgery.
