'Emmerdale' star promises "huge" new plot

Emmerdale star Nick Miles has revealed that his character Jimmy King will have a big new storyline next year.

The actor, who has been with the ITV1 soap since 2004, disclosed the news on Twitter after a fan told him that the show is currently in "amazing" form.

Writing in response, Miles agreed: "I think so, but I'm pretty biased! Lots of exciting stuff between now and Christmas then a HUGE story for Jimmy in the New Year."

Emmerdale bosses recently announced that Jimmy's ex-partner Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva) will return to the Yorkshire-based drama in early 2011 - a development which is likely to come at a cost for the businessman.

The character is currently happily married and enjoying family life with wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and their young daughter Angelica.

Meanwhile, in separate Twitter posts, Miles also confirmed that the Emmerdale cast are continuing to film the soap's Christmas Day episode today.
