Emmerdale star Lyndon Ogbourne has admitted that Nathan Wylde deserves to face the consequences of his twisted behaviour during his final weeks on screen.

The actor's scheming character will soon bow out of the ITV1 soap as the Wylde family's reign at Home Farm comes to an end after nearly two years.

In an interview with Soaplife, Ogbourne was asked whether it would be worse for Nathan to lose his fortune or the support of his sister Maisie in his exit storyline.

He replied: "That's a tricky one. Being left penniless probably because the money is his security. But then Maisie's the person he loves most in the world and losing her would mean he'd have no-one.

"The thing is, though, a baddie like Nathan needs his comeuppance. He deserves to be left penniless and alone."

Ogbourne recently revealed that viewers will see Nathan "at his most vulnerable" before he leaves the village.
