'Emmerdale' star wants Cain revenge

Lyndon Ogbourne has hinted that he would like his Emmerdale character Nathan Wylde to get even with Cain Dingle one day in the future.

Last month, Cain was instrumental in the downfall of the Wyldes when he held Nathan captive and resorted to extreme measures to uncover the truth about Mark's murder, leading to the arrest of family matriarch Natasha.

Fans will see Nathan leave the village in disgrace next week following Ogbourne's decision to bow out from the show. However, producers have kept the door open for a possible return.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Ogbourne commented: "It's about time someone taught Cain a serious lesson! Nathan's on the floor right now, but that doesn't mean he's learned his lesson. He'd probably come back to the village more evil than ever!"

The actor also said that he had a positive working relationship with Jeff Hordley, who plays the role of Cain.

He explained: "Jeff Hordley sent me a text while he was watching the scenes where Nathan was tortured to say how much he'd loved working together. It was brilliant."

Nathan's final episode airs on November 26.
