Shaw: 'Eve deserves everything she gets'

Suzanne Shaw has admitted that Emmerdale's Eve Jenson deserves everything she gets from Chas Dingle.

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is currently seeking revenge on her fiancé Carl King for having an affair with Eve. Having proposed to him, she then asked Eve to be one of her bridesmaids.

"Chas is planning the ultimate revenge and part of that is to humiliate Eve," Shaw told The Mirror. "Shockingly, she asks her to be a bridesmaid and gives her the most hideous dress to wear. I'll never forgive the producers for doing that to me! I look like a 12-year-old brat in it!"

On Eve, she continued: "She deserves everything coming to her. She's the one who chased after Carl after Chas befriended her when she first arrived in the village. It was a really horrible thing to do to a mate.”

However, Shaw insisted that while Eve is flawed, she does have the potential to be nice.

“If she had a decent guy she would probably break his heart. It’s her fatal weakness and it makes her behave badly," she confessed. "She can't help herself when it comes to men and thrives on male attention.

"It gets her into a lot of trouble because nine times out of 10 they are committed already. But I don't think she deliberately tries to hurt people - she just can't control herself," she added.
