Tom Lister: 'Chas plot will hurt Carl'

Emmerdale's Tom Lister has admitted that Carl King will be "gutted" if Chas King goes through with her plan for revenge.

The couple are due to marry on Christmas Day but Carl remains in the dark about Chas's (Lucy Pargeter) knowledge of his affair with Eve and plot to make him pay for betraying her.

"I think if she does go through with it and he doesn't ever suspect that anything is going on, I think he will be absolutely sidelined by it," he told Digital Spy. "He just won't ever believe that Chas could do something like this - that she could pretend that she was pregnant, that she could do all this stuff basically just to bleed him dry of all the money."

Lister confessed that he believes Chas has "some morality to her", unlike some of the "psycho bitches" Carl has previously dated.

"For her to take him to the cleaners, I think he would be so gutted and completely ashamed for it to be revealed like that in front of everybody," he said.
