Adele Silva "walloped" 'Emmerdale' co-star

Adele Silva has admitted that she "really hurt" her co-star Nick Miles during filming for Emmerdale.

Silva's character Kelly Windsor was shown hitting her ex-boyfriend Jimmy King over the head with a torch last week.

Speaking to Emmerdale's official website, Silva said: "It was great fun filming the scenes.

"When we were rehearsing we had a dummy torch which was basically like polystyrene and the director was like, 'You know you can hit him, it's not going to hurt him it's only polystyrene'. And I was like, 'No it's fine, I just want to build myself up for the take'.

"And I walloped Nick round the head with it to the point where afterwards the whole crew gasped and I said, 'I told you I'd do it!'

"Nick was really quiet - I think I really hurt him. And the director was like, 'You're not wrong, you did say you'd do it on the take!'"

Silva, who has recently returned to Emmerdale after four years away from the soap, hinted that she would like to stay on for Kelly and Jimmy to rekindle their relationship.

"I think everyone wants Jimmy and Kelly back together. I think Kelly and Jimmy really do work," said Silva.

"Obviously I'm biased but I like Kelly and Jimmy together. And this is soap, never say never... She has got this kind of strange kind of hold over him."
