Emmerdale newcomer Kurtis Stacey has revealed that his character Alex Moss will not go down well with Adam Barton (Adam Thomas).

Moss - a farmer - will join the Barton Farm and win John Barton's (James Thornton) approval, but Stacey has said that Adam will be upset by the change.

"I don't think he'll get on with Adam because he replaces Adam on the farm. Adam sees him arrive and work really hard and is annoyed that he's good," Stacey told the PA.

He added that Moss's success with the ladies - in particular Adam's younger sister Hannah (Grace Cassidy) - would leave his rival even angrier with the newcomer's arrival.

"The girls are impressed and Adam can tell that Hannah likes Alex and he doesn't like it," said Stacey.

"I think Andy will be in the middle a bit because I can see him being a bit stuck between them, being mates with us both. Andy is the only person Alex knows in the village at first.

"I think the locals will be a bit suspicious of him at first, especially when they see him with different girls. Hopefully they'll realise he's okay, for now."

In a recent interview with DS, Emmerdale's executive producer Steve November said that Moss would "break a few hearts" after joining the soap.
