POTD: More Barton tension in 'Emmerdale'

Relations within the Barton family remain strained as Adam starts his full-time job with Declan in tonight's episode of Emmerdale.

Adam's first day doesn't go as planned when he sleeps in and is late for work, much to the amusement of John, who has failed to give his son a wake-up call.

John's petty behaviour frustrates Adam and Moira, but he soon calls a truce for the sake of keeping the family together.

Later, however, John tells Moira that Declan is only using Adam as a labourer on the Home Farm estate and confidently predicts that Adam will soon realise he's made a big mistake.

Keen for his son to realise the full implications of his decision, John informs him that it's time for him to start paying his way with regular keep. Is John pushing Adam away and will life at Butlers ever be the same again?


Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
