POTD: 'Emmerdale' heartbreak for Gennie

Emmerdale's Gennie Walker is left devastated as Nikhil cruelly rejects her in tonight's episode of the soap.

Keen to put things right following her recent behaviour, Chas ends her relationship with Nikhil and encourages Gennie to make her feelings known to him as he's now a free agent.

Later, at The Woolpack, Gennie consoles Nikhil over his break-up before leaving him stunned by confessing that she's in love with him.

However, an angry Nikhil thinks that Chas and Gennie have played him for a fool and storms out of the pub in disgust. Outside, he nastily insults Gennie by declaring that he could never be with a "plain girl" like her…


Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
