Cleveland Campbell leaves 'Emmerdale'
Emmerdale actor Cleveland Campbell - the Dales' Danny Daggert - is to quit the soap later this year.

A spokesperson confirmed to DS: ”Cleveland will leave in a dramatic storyline this summer but we don’t want to spoil his exit story for viewers. Cleveland has been as asset to the show and will be greatly missed by everyone at Emmerdale.

"Cleveland's decision to leave the show had absolutely nothing to do with the recent GBH allegations against him. It's been planned for him to leave for some time."

Of his exit, Campbell said: “I’ve had a fantastic five years on Emmerdale and made a lot of very good friends but I’m looking forward to pursuing other projects.”

Danny will remain on screen until August.
