POTD: 'Emmerdale' Marlon in turmoil on christening day

Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle turns up late to his own son's christening as he begins to crack under the pressure of the Laurel situation in tonight's episode of the soap.

Marlon (Mark Charnock) is dreading spending the day with Laurel due to the unresolved feelings between them, so he tries to avoid going to the church - claiming that he has catering issues at the pub.

Rhona (Zoe Henry) is furious as everyone begins to wonder whether Marlon will turn up at all, and when he finally arrives at the last minute, he continues to act strangely.

Later, back at the pub, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) warns Marlon that he's making it too obvious that something's wrong. Will Marlon's unusual behaviour lead to him and Laurel being caught out?


Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
