POTD: 'Emmerdale's Jai and Charity are arrested

Emmerdale's Jai Sharma and Charity Tate find themselves the prime suspects as the police start investigating Cain's attack in tonight's episode of the soap.

Jai (Chris Bisson) stuns the villagers this evening as he enters The Woolpack and reveals that Cain (Jeff Hordley) has been brutally beaten. However, he soon receives a shock of his own as the police arrive at the pub to arrest him and Charity on suspicion of attempted murder.

Later, down at the station, the police ask tough questions as they interview the pair separately - demanding to know what Jai was doing at the attack scene and whether Charity (Emma Atkins) was involved.

Meanwhile, over at the hospital, Cain is in a bad way and it's clear that he may not pull through. Are Jai and Charity to blame for his condition or is another villager guilty of the crime?


Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
