Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb has said that she didn't mind getting hurt while filming her upcoming stunt scenes.

The actress ended up with a bruised ribcage while filming tonight's dramatic episode, which sees her character Moira and husband John (James Thornton) involved in a horrific road accident.

However, speaking on Lorraine this morning, Robb explained that she was determined to make the scenes look as true-to-life as possible.

Robb commented: "I got some bruises - I was throwing myself about. You want to make it look realistic, so I didn't mind all that.

"We did have two stunt doubles for both of us, but in the end, we didn't really use them - because you have to make it look as real as possible. It wasn't that bad, really."

Discussing the filming process, she said: "We did three night shoots. There were actually five Land Rovers that we used, and all five were in different areas - so we just kept moving to each location, to do each different set-up. It was really well thought out.

"Michael Lacey, the director, really thought about it and it was all story-boarded. He talked everything through with the crew, so everybody knew exactly what we had to do. We only had three nights to do it in, and a lot to cover."

Emmerdale airs the scenes in an hour-long episode tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
