As news spreads through the village that Dan turned down a marriage proposal from Chas (Lucy Pargeter), he begins to wonder whether he did the right thing as everyone seems to think he must be crazy. At the same time, Chas considers whether she could be happy with Dan.
Later, Chas bites the bullet and finally tells Dan (Liam Fox) that she does love him, as he makes her feel safe and secure. Stunned to hear that Chas feels so strongly for him, Dan is left to ponder his next move.
Soon afterwards, Dan arrives at The Woolpack and proposes to Chas in front of everyone. As Chas delightedly accepts, she tries to convince herself that she's doing the right thing…
