'Emmerdale' Jeff Hordley: 'Cain, Moira love would be interesting'

Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley has said that it would be "very interesting" to see his character Cain Dingle fall in love with Moira Barton.

Cain and Moira previously had a fling last year and their old spark is reignited next week as they give into their chemistry and jump into bed together.



Speaking to Soaplife, Hordley revealed that Cain now has more respect for Moira than he did at the time of their original affair.

Hordley explained: "He was in a really bad place at the time and he was just toying with Moira, playing with her because he could. But if things do progress with Moira now, he'll feel bad about how he treated her.

"What there still is from that time is the huge attraction. They must have been pretty, er, hot in bed. The chemistry sizzles between them. That's the spark that ignites a possible romance between them."

He continued: "Cain's had a terrible year what with Zak attacking him and everything else, and it's really taken the wind out of his sails. He's ready for being with someone again."



Hordley added that he would not rule out the possibility of Cain developing an emotional connection with Moira along with the physical side of their relationship.

He commented: "That passion or chemistry might lead to a love affair, which I think is always very interesting because, for Cain, it means he opens himself up and becomes very human but also extremely vulnerable. That's a dangerous place for him to be."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV1, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
