'Emmerdale' plans first gay marriage
Emmerdale is reportedly gearing up for its first gay marriage, with characters Jonny Foster and Paul Lambert saying "I do".

According to the Daily Star, the pair will get hitched after Jonny (Richard Grieve) proposes to lover Paul (Matthew Bose) next week.

A source at the Yorkshire soap revealed: "Jonny has been feeling increasingly insecure about his relationship with Paul and turns to Chas Dingle for advice. She's good mates with Paul and tells Jonny the lad has fallen head over heels for him but is looking for more commitment.

"So when he spots him charting to another fella he stuns him by popping the question."

However, the couple will face a few ups and downs before swapping their vows, with Paul still carrying a torch for married lawyer Grayson Sinclair, played by Christopher Villiers.

The source added: "With so many hearts on the line, it can only end in tears."
