No weird fan mail for 'Emmerdale' actor

Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden has admitted that he feels disappointed because viewers have not sent him any bizarre fan mail.

Wolfenden, who plays bad boy David Metcalfe on the ITV1 soap, revealed that his co-stars Matt Healy, Tom Lister and Nick Miles receive the most messages from fans.

"I think, like [Eric] Pollard, fans know David can be a complete plonker but he's a lovable rogue and you can't help but like him," Matthew told the Daily Star. "Though I have to say, I haven't had any weird fan mail yet, which is quite disappointing! It's the King brothers who get bras and knickers sent to them! They are complete legends!"

Matthew added that he is planning to marry his long-term girlfriend Joanne Cavanagh in the near future.

"We live together and marriage is definitely on the cards," he explained. "She's incredible and is very supportive. Things really couldn't be better for me at the moment."
