Pallett feels happier without Fleeshman

Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett has insisted that splitting from Richard Fleeshman was the right choice.

The actress, who plays Jo Stiles, said that she is in "a better place" after ending her relationship with Fleeshman in October.

Roxanne got together with Richard, better known as Corrie's Craig Harris, after they appeared in Soapstar Superstar together in January 2006. Their relationship hit the rocks this year as Fleeshman spent much of his time preparing to launch a music career.

"I'm so loyal that I put the other person before me. But if you don't get that back you need to stop and think enough's enough," Roxanne told The People.

"I'm not going to pretend I have been fine. If it had been quiet at work I would have had more time to sit and think about it and get upset. But I have thrown everything into the storylines.

"I had the girls round a few months ago and have six solid friends. One brought a bottle of champagne and toasted Foxy Roxy being single. We talked for hours, cried and laughed. I am in such a better place now if I am being honest. I feel I am thinking about me again and making my decisions."
