Rushworth: "Donna should be a bent cop"

Emmerdale star Verity Rushworth has said she would love her character to reveal a dark side.

The actress, who plays policewoman Donna Dingle in the ITV1 soap, admitted that she would like to see her alter ego shake off her good-girl image.

She told Inside Soap: "I think Donna should be a bent cop - that would jazz things up a bit.

"I'd love her to have a naughty side. It'd be so exciting and I'd get away with stuff I couldn't do for real."
