James Sutton begins filming at 'Emmerdale'

Published Thursday, Apr 30 2009, 16:32 BST | By Kris Green | 16 comments
Here's some gossip that'll tickle a few people's fancy.

Former Hollyoaks star James Sutton began filming with Emmerdale yesterday and my sources tell me that he had an extremely hectic day shooting his first block of scenes.

The 26-year-old - who played the ever-popular character John Paul McQueen in the Channel 4 soap - joined the soap earlier this year as Faye Lamb's (Kim Thomson) son Ryan Lamb. And from what I hear, he has some great material on the horizon.

He's due to appear on screen during the second week of June.

Are you looking forward to James's arrival in Emmerdale? Let me know your thoughts using the usual form below!

I wonder how long it will take Kris Green to become a big fan of Emmerdale now the object of his affections is in that show....

I'll join in the chorus for an interview with James as soon as you are able to Kris!

I cant wait to see James Sutton back on screen, and is a huge admirer of the work he put down in Hollyoaks. Ryan the mechanic, sounds like a great role and is very excited that James Sutton is back and this time as a new character. James Sutton just has the IT-factor :)

I do not think i will be able to watch him as someone else. James Sutton will forever be JP to me.

I reckon James's character Ryan is Mark's long lost son.

Very much so. James is wonderful and I can't wait to see him on TV again soon. I really hope he does have some great material on the horizon. And, yes, an interview would be very much appreciated, Kris. Thanks

No, not at all. Does not seem to be an Emmerdale character.

Very pleased and excited to hear that James has begun filming! Although his first scenes will collide with the most important exam week of my life... at least I have an excuse to take a break from revision and enjoy my fave actor! Much love to you James :)

So excited! Emmerdale has already become my favourite soap again, this will only make it better!

He isn't that good an actor - the hype was about his character not him - if the appearance of Cain has failed to save Emmerdale in the ratings like it was expected to then I doubt this will either
Linda, London, on April 30th, 2009
Can't wait to see James on screen again!! He was immense as John Paul in Hollyoaks and it sounds like he's about to show a wider audience what all the fuss is about!! Interview on the horizon I hope Kris!!!
