Exclusive 'Emmerdale' storyline teasers!

If you haven't already read my mammoth interview with Emmerdale boss Gavin Blyth, then I'd suggest hopping over to this page for an exclusive preview of what's to come in the Dales over the coming months.

However, if your boots haven't been filled enough with Emmerdale goodness, I have a further eight character teasers for your reading pleasure!

§ Jimmy and Nicola will be planning for their wedding. It's a lovely romp to the big day. It's not straightforward by any means, though - there are a few surprises in there.

§ Nicola makes something of an enemy of one of our village stalwarts. I won't reveal who, but it should be rather entertaining…

§ Diane and Victoria are on a great journey. Charlie's arrival in the village sets the cat among the pigeons and obviously Doug's already very close to Diane. It's not going to be plain sailing for them. There are a number of twists and turns for them into spring/summer.

§ There's some great material coming up for the Sharmas to take them out of their factory and see them domesticated, with friends and establishing relationships. They've firmly established their place in the show now and everyone's comfortable with who they are. This year will see them become even firmer favourites.

§ The Bartons have a very different story coming up which will, at times, ask questions of how solid the really family is. They're not Teflon and something has to stick. They'll have some really testing times and will start asking questions of themselves and of each other. John and Moira aren't beyond making mistakes…and neither are their children, who are more than capable of being lead astray by the temptations of life.

§ David and Leyla have some interesting material, too, which will put them right back at the centre of the show. They are such a string couple and real favourites. Nathan’s involvement with them last year nearly destroyed everything but they came through. Now they will be chasing a dream – but at what cost?

§ Cain and Charity continue to develop in a different way to last year. It won't be more of the same - they'll start to mix with different character groups, yet there'll be flashes of the old Charity and Cain.

§ Paddy and Marlon have a fantastic story for the year ahead. When love comes a calling… It may well involve Rhona…but who's head will be turned?

emerdale has become a bit stale, and needs new writers. corrie and emerdale seem to follow each other`s storylines and it has become a bit boaring and predictable. everyone that lives in Home farm has a bitter ending, and the lot there now are so annoying, especially the two women. it doesnt appear to be going anywhere, and the rape story with Lisa and the chap who came in with absolutly no reason, other than being a phsyco is now dead in the dust. The fire was stupid, as no police officer would put his job on the line for Katie Sugden because she is so sickly and sweet, and has history. most of the characters need a shake up as their storylines are so dull, and stupid fires do not happen in real life in small villages like this. The disabled lad, where is his story going to go now, apart from his mother helping to commit suicide becasue he isnt able to carry on. Diane`s character needs to find the chap that robbed her, and a good court case would spice that one up. Lose the hat on Edna, it`s not too late for her to find true love, even at her time of life. Another chap from her past perhaps, a childhood sweetheart that steers her away from the church and pushes her towards living, and laughing a little. the dingle girls get together and take the rapist to the quarry, and we will never know if he fell or was pushed. equally, the rapist chapie can start to stalk the blind lady, and that is one woman too many, he`s done it all before. carl and his brother need a shake up, for instance buisness starts to get better, and when home farm is back up for sale, everyone in the village wonder who has bought it, and who is back? We also need some nice stories for a feel good time. How about bringing in some welsh people who are running away from their past, and start a new life in the dales under assumed names. all goes well until they are faced with their past when they travel to Hotten. I could go on, and I do write. You need some imagination because i`m getting cheesed off with the story lines.

RYAN STORY LINE GREAT LOVE THE ENDING WHEN THE KIDS FOUND OUT NATASHA MURDERED THEIR FATHER .--WE ALSO LOVE JAI REACTION WHEN NIKHIL TOLD HIM ABOUT MASIE AND RYAN NEARLY SLEEPING TOGETHER WAS GREAT WHEN JAISAID THAT WAS LIKE NIK SLEEPING PRIYA WAS VERY FUNNY ---KNEW BOTH RIK AND CHRIS WANTED TO LAUGH =A GREAT SCENE - IS PRIYA COMING BACK -GLAD TO KNOW JAI AND NIK HAVE A SISTER STILL . I have been loving Emmerdale re Arron & Jackson and hope that hope that Emmerdale can be the soap where there is a normal , young gay couple where every thing does not end in disaster !

I love emmerdale, keep the storylines and responses coming. emmerdale has inspired me to start up my own farm in the future, many thanks to the writers and everyone else involved

Hope they don't split up Chas and Carl again, I love them together as a couple and I was delighted when they got back together in September

I Cannot wait to see the Aaron Story develop. Danny is Such a good actor and is one of the reasons why i am training to be an actor here's hoping 1 day i will be in emmerdale

A return to story-led plots? Huh? Emmerdale has never been a story led show, it has always been led by the characters. The strength of the show over the last few months has been its return to character led plots.
