Despite some viewers hoping that Will would somehow stick around in the village without his screen family, I can confirm that the character will also be bowing out later this year.
Speaking to DS today, an Emmerdale spokesperson explained that Will's portrayer Oscar Lloyd is leaving of his own accord and made the decision at a similar time to his co-stars Lyndon Ogbourne (Nathan), Alice Coulthard (Maisie) and Amanda Donohoe (Natasha).
Following the Wyldes' long run of high-profile storylines, the news that they'll all be leaving definitely marks the end of an era. Equally, though, it'll be interesting to see how the gap will be filled at Home Farm and on the show as a whole.
Are you going to miss Will and the rest of the Wyldes? Let me know your thoughts using the usual form below!
