'Jack Sugden' NOT quitting 'Emmerdale'

Despite various rumours over the past few weeks, one tabloid finally caught onto the grapevine today and ran a piece claiming that Jack Sugden is being written out of the Yorkshire soap.
However, a spokesperson for the show confirmed: "There is an explosive episode planned for the 35th anniversary in October which involves a fire ripping through the village, but we are not killing Jack Sugden off."
So there we have it. That's one character down from the list of possible characters who could meet a fiery end during the 35th celebrations.
The 35th anniversary episode will transmit on Tuesday, October 16 in what is presumed to be an hour special.

Bring back Cain Dingle. That dope "Eli" is a pain. I wish Marlon wouldn't be such a whimp and stand up to that idiot. I used to love Emmerdale but I'm really getting sick of that story. I know its coming to an end but Eli isn't a patch on Cain. I ain't the only one thinking that by the way!!

I think that they should kill off Betty. She is such a tyrant who is poking her nose into other people's business most of the time. Pearl and Edna are also very irritating and they should also be killed off.

Carrie is the worst actress in Emmerdale and if I see Eli one more time it will be one time too many. Emmerdale has lost the plot at the moment. Not worth watching.

I think it's sick that these soaps always have disasters to "celebrate" anniversaries. Are we viewers so turned on by misery? Also "Emmerdale" is not like "Emmerdale Farm" at all. It's a completely different show and should not be celebrating 35 years. It started in 1989.

At the end of the day, I was a avid fan of Emmerdale, now I can't be bothered and it is because all the interesting characters left and the ones who are left are OK, but I didn't like them having the main storylines. Jack is a bore... so they should kill him off and other pointless characters like Sandy, Carrie, & the whole of the police team that's merged into Emmerdale.

Kill off and replace half the cast it's getting really dull. Bring back Zoe and Cain who together could fight the Kings to get Zoe's empire back. Sorted!

Perdey is boring, Eric Pollard & that stupid business! Debbie Dingle annoys me too! I hope they keep Jack & Diane, Edna is annoying but actually some of the funniest scenes involve the older characters!

Why? He is so dull, what does he add to the already boring show?? Emmerdale has too many boring characters right now, and the writing has gone downhill. Sort it out ITV and Emmerdale before viewers switch off in their droves.

I think the death of Andy Sugden is one death which will rock the village. He may not be the most popular person in Emmerdale, but the Sugden family are very well respected and the residents will rally round Jack at this time - hopefully making him a tad more likeable. Kill off Jo too, I can't stand her.

Although Jack hasn't really had any major storylines for a whil, I think they should make him a big part of the 35th anniversary episode and I feel that they should kill off either Sandy or Edna.

I think the producers should kill off one of the Dingles. I'm tired of seeing them on our screens or maybe they should bump off Edna. I'm tired of seeing her as well.
