Matthew is blind-sided by a face from the past brandishing a gun.The situation worsens when Katie returns early from the village show and carelessly strays into the gunman’s path. Struck with a combination of shock and terror, Katie finds herself in the same predicament as Matthew, with both their lives on a knife-edge.

Meanwhile, Carl and Jimmy grow concerned at their brother’s absence and head back to Home Farm to find him. Hearing raised voices, Jimmy and Carl watch as a tense hostage situation unfolds. With both brothers unarmed, will either risk their own lives to save Matthew and Katie? And can the Kings and Katie do anything to subdue their armed nemesis?

Meanwhile, as the villagers prepare to showcase their exhibits, Terry is furious that his vegetables are missing and blames Jamie. Terry searches in vain for Jamie and mentions to Marlon and Paddy that his vegetables were stolen. The truth dawns on the pair and they make a hasty retreat when Terry vows to get his own back.

Borrowing Jamie’s dog whistle, Terry causes chaos before the start of the dog obedience challenge. The out of control pooches dash toward the pie eating contest and cause Shadrach to ruin Nicola’s quilt. Will Marlon and Paddy take the blame when the village show descends into total chaos?
