
Mark says that he sees no way to escape from Faye and that Natasha should divorce him if they can't resolve their marital problems. Natasha's shocked by his forthrightness but she quickly gathers her anger and states that he might not be worth fighting for anyway.
Heading home, they prepare to tell Maisie and Nathan that they're getting a divorce, but Natasha backtracks at the last minute. Natasha reveals that the only way to make their relationship work is to get rid of Faye and Ryan once and for all. Can the Wyldes unite to silence Faye?
Meanwhile, Lexi attends a follow-up appointment and the doctor where he tells her that her remaining fallopian tube is damaged and that she therefore has no chance of conceiving naturally.
Lexi returns home and dissolves into floods of tears as her world falls apart around her. Carl returns home from work eager for news but Lexi lies that she was given the all clear. Carl's awkward, though, when Lexi suggests that there's no time like the present to begin trying for another baby.
Despite Carl, Jimmy and Nicola's reservations, Lexi pledges to give Carl a child no matter what. Will Carl be honest with his wife that he doesn't even want children with her?
Elsewhere, Gennie's pride has been sorely wounded by her failed attempt at internet dating. Jamie attempts to encourage Gennie try rewriting her profile and speaks of his belief that the new one will bring many admirers. Gennie, however, isn't so sure.
When Brenda expresses her fears that the internet breeds weirdos and perverts, Gennie snaps and tells Jamie that his experiment's over. Gennie goes on to complain that any man she meets will think the same as her last date and insists that her only option is to find Mr Right in the traditional way. Will Gennie ever find happiness?
