Ryan's furious by Katie's admission

Faye's pleased when she witnesses Ryan and Mark having a friendly chat as it's clear that Mark's beginning to be drawn towards his son. Ryan's delighted when Katie asks him out for a drink before he goes to Dubai, but he's gutted when he realises that Leyla and David will be joining them.

Katie clearly likes Ryan and tells Leyla that she wants to see if he's serious about her or if he's simply up for a one-night stand. However, when the date doesn't go the way he'd planned, he confronts Katie and is annoyed when she reveals that she wanted to make Nathan jealous. Ryan furious and suggests that he may as well leave if she's going to use him to get at Nathan.

Noticing Ryan's frustration, Mark offers to be his son's confidante but Ryan's shocked at his hypocrisy when his father suggests that honesty is the key to a relationship.

Later, Faye's encouraged when Mark tells her that Ryan's a credit to her - he's clearly fighting his paternal instincts. When Ryan tells him that can't wait to leave for Dubai as there is nothing for him in the village, Mark's torn. How will he feel when Ryan leaves for Dubai?

Meanwhile, Moira seems convinced that Zak will sort Aaron out and persuade him to drop the charges against John. Chas is appalled when Zak and Lisa reveal that Aaron tried to blackmail Holly with sex. The Dingles then drag Aaron to the station to retract his statement. Is this the end of the trouble for the Bartons?

Elsewhere, Ashley reveals the details of his rivalry with his nemesis Vincent Spode and claims they have unfinished business.

Also, Diane is outraged by Val's deception. David, meanwhile, is stunned when Pollard and Val return to the village early, having been thrown off the flight for being too frisky! Diane reluctantly agrees to allow her sister back into the pub when she explains the motivation behind her scheming.
