Jack quizzes Harry about the money before resisting the temptation to accept it. Jack asks Harry to leave and is relieved to see him finally go.
His relief is short-lived, however, when he discovers that Harry has left the money stuffed in a drawer.
Zak is thrilled to hear the inaccurate gossip about Emily and Paddy and is delighted at the prospect of having them back in the Dingle fold.
The atmosphere at Pollard’s is becoming tense and Gloria is starting to feel uncomfortable the longer she stays there. She offers to pay rent to ease the situation but Pollard clearly thinks that would make the arrangement more permanent than he would like.
