The Dingles resolve to find out who was responsible for betraying them to the D.S.S. and the finger of suspicion points firmly at Pollard.
Pollard is disturbed when Sam tells him that Zak is convinced that he was responsible for grassing them up to the authorities. Sam demands that he gives him a proper job or he will help his father get his revenge on him.
Zak approaches Charity and questions her about being visited by a D.S.S. officer. She pleads her innocence and he is stunned when she tells him that Cain has already betrayed him by sitting on a pile of cash that he stole from her.
Zak returns home and confronts Cain, who tries to convince his father that Charity is lying. But will Zak believe Cain’s explanation?
Terry is pleasantly surprised when Carol apologises for her behaviour. With her relationship back on track, Carol’s day improves further when she receives a visit from Rodney inquiring whether she would consider taking him on as a full time guest at the Bed and Breakfast.
Bernice accepts Nicola’s offer to move back in to the Woolpack until Ashley returns. And Charity is shaken when Terry nearly catches her on the phone to her lover.
Pollard is played by Chris Chittell; Sam – James Hooton; Zak – Steve Halliwell; Charity – Emma Atkins; Cain – Jeff Hordley; Terry – Billy Hartman; Carol – Helen Pearson; Rodney – Patrick Mower; Bernice – Samantha Giles; Nicola – Nicola Wheeler; Ashley – John Middleton.
Tonight's episode is repeated on ITV2 tomorrow afternoon at 2.10pm
