Bernice is caught on the hop when Carlos wins the charity fun run in aid of the local Baby Care Unit.
For as she is presenting him with his prize a photographer asks her to give him a kiss. If that isn't bad enough she's then encouraged to hold a baby for another photograph.
Barely able to keep her emotions in check she slips away, followed by Carlos. As he tries to comfort her, the two begin to kiss passionately.
Angie is shocked to see the bruising on Charity's face and is convinced Cain is behind it. But Charity will not name her attacker – Dingle law prevents it.
Jack ponders selling the farm, or a portion of it, to keep afloat. Seth tells him of a farmer friend who sold land off for a phone company to erect an aerial. Meanwhile Robert feels isolated by Jack and Andy who forever seem to be having secret chats.
Bernice is played by Samantha Giles; Carlos – Gary Turner; Angie – Freya Copeland; Charity – Emma Atkins; Cain – Jeff Hordley; Jack – Clive Hornby; Seth – Stan Richards; Robert – Christopher Smith; Andy – Kelvin Fletcher.
Tonight's episode is repeated on ITV2 tomorrow afternoon at 2.10pm, with an exclusive omnibus featuring all five of this week's episodes on Saturday 2 June at 9.25am.
