It’s rare for Chris Tate to lose his head, but he appears almost out of control as he rushes around the village trying to disprove his sister’s devastating revelations.
He can barely believe he has been sharing Charity’s affections with his own sister and begins to question people at random to see what they know.
Chloe diplomatically tells him whatever he wishes to hear, and Terry chooses the same soft option. Paddy however sends Chris reeling when he admits he knew there was something going on. He is left open mouthed as Chris denounces him when he fails to come up with evidence.
Finally a huge rows erupts when Zoe comes on the scene and the whole thing is witnessed by, among others, Viv and Betty.
And Nicola finally realises that it is really over between her and Carlos.
Chris is played by Peter Amory; Zoe – Leah Bracknell; Chloe – Amy Nuttall; Terry – Billy Hartman; Paddy – Dominic Brunt; Carlos – Gary Turner; Nicola – Nicola Wheeler; Diane – Elizabeth Estensen; Charity – Emma Atkins; Viv – Deena Payne; Betty – Paula Tilbrook.
Tonight's episode is repeated on ITV2 tomorrow afternoon at 1.55pm, with an exclusive omnibus featuring all five of this week’s episodes on Saturday 25 August at 9.25am.
